What’s a good laptop for a 15 year old guy?

I'm not looking for anything really expensive though, and not hugh would be nice too. I kinda like the new Verizon/HP mini laptop, but I don't know anything about it or other laptops. What is a good laptop or good place to go for a nice but cheap one.

If all you want to do is web browse, email, play music, organize photos, and word process, the HP Mini is perfect, and the base model (US$279) is very affordable with a decent set of features.
If you want a laptop for gaming, video editing, or graphic design, you’ll have to get something a lot more powerful (and more expensive).
