Verizon and Apple are in high debates about this. It is not a rumor, it is true in the plan that in 2011 the Iphone will be avaliable on the Verizon network. Personally I think the Iphone is overated but it will make many customers happy because many people are very unhappy with At&T because their service is not near as good as Verizon’s.
Be expecting to see the Iphone in a couple years on the Verizon Network and when it happens, look for a newer network to be coming to Verizon to speed it up and make it faster.

It is a fact. I know because Verizon and Apple have met 3 seperate times. At AT&T they are telling workers to forget about iPhone sales and focus on blackberry sales. At Verizon they aren’t making any smartphone deals for a while. And Apple isn’t renewing AT&Ts contract which ends in 2010. I am getting it. It is a fact, but there are rumors on if Verizon will charge for internet, GPS, and stuff like that and if Verizon will put in their own operating system. If that happens I will be pissed, but those are just rumors so I have my fingers crossed!

It was actually on the news where the companies are in talks about offering an I Phone for verizon wireless, no word yet on if it will happen.

cingular, before it merged with at&t, has always been with apple.
and verizon wireless has never been.

that’s probably why the touch screen blackberry storm is exclusively for vzw, to compete with the iphone.
