$29.99 Verizon Gateway mini netbook offered again

It's back.... the $29.99 Gateway mini netbook from Verizon.
Usual stipulations apply: 2 year contract required and the cost is actually $129.99 with a $100 on-line discount.
This is the same mini notebook (Gateway LT2016u) Verizon offered back in November as part of their Black Friday deal. It's still shipping with Windows® XP Home Edition Operating System, features a 10.1” display, 1GB of RAM and 160GB of Hard Drive. It also has a built–in Web–cam and microphone and s also WiFi capable.
This model is starting to look a little old now, but many people still prefer good ole Windows XP. This model has a good track record and gets above average battery life.

Wow, this is a super good buy - if - you can handle the required 2-year data plan. Offer is only good from Friday November 27th to Monday November 30th.
Price is actually $129.99 with $100 mail in rebate.
The mini notebook has built-in 3G capability and is Wi-Fi capable as well. It has a 10.1-inch screen, a 160 GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM and weighs in less than 3 pounds.
Are wireless Mini-Cards reliable?

My nephew has a Dell laptop that he connects wirelessly to the internet with. The host CP has a Verizon modem connected to it. The laptop has a 1390 802.11g Mini Card. Not all times but most times it takes approx 10-15 minutes to get connected to the internet. Is it because it is only a mini-card he has installed on the laptop. I'm not sure of the reliablity or functionality of the mini-cards.
I was think about buying one of those wireless adapters that he could plug into his USB port. Do you think he would get connected faster with this type?

Today I brought a mini laptop that came with WIFI, and in my home I have Verizon Wireless high speed internet connected to my desktop upstairs, and when I bring my laptop upstairs the wireless internet works, But when I go downstairs it looses its connection, how do I get it to work through out the whole house!! Where can I find a mini laptop for under $250.00?

I want to purchase 3 mini laptops (preferably 12 inches or less) for my children. Since I want to buy 3 of them I'd like to find a decent price on them. Also, I don't want a monthly contract w/ Verizon or AT&T for internet service. I just want the laptops themselves. Any ideas??
Guess I should've mentioned my kids are 14, 15, & 16 years old.

I bought a 1/8" to 3/32" adapter so I can plug in my normal jack headphones(the standard size for everything). It works, but only sound comes to one ear, and the same happens when I plug it into a stereo set. When I use the mini jack headphones the stereo comes through but the sound isn't as good. How can I make it work in stereo?

How do you look for you network security key or passphrase on your desktop computer?

I just got my laptop(Dell Inspiron 15 and has a wifi wireless mini card) and to hook up the wireless connection or whatever..its asking for the network security key or passphrase and i don't know it, its probably something simple...my modem/router is the VERIZON WESTELL 7500, can someone help please? thanks

My phone is a samsung w/ verizon it is a model SCH-A870 it has no mini SD card, and the only plug in port is on the bottom where you plug in the power cord

i would like a netbook that is cheap, but can have a fast internet connection with my home connection. i not interested in using the internet in asia and that stuff. i have look at reviews on the verizon hp mini netbook thing, and most of the stuff i read, i really dont understand! kinda into using it as a home laptop, im so clueless! HELP ME! =(

quick question about verizon fios?

my mom is interested to get verizon fios. but with no phone. just the TV and the internet. but when i went to check in there website there isnt a bundle with that. we are also getting it so we could get the mini netbook. is there a bundle with internet and TV only? and will i get a mini netbook?
