The Verizon HP Mini 1151 is actually the HP Mini 1000 notebook that has been on the market for a bit.
The “Mini Notebook” market is about to explode as AT&T is said to be readying their own Mini Notebook for this Summer.

Having the ability to hook up to a larger monitor is a useful thing for a mini-notebook like this. As you recall, the Verizon HP Mini Notebook is actually the HP Mini 1000.
The only way you can do it is with an HP Mini VGA Cable.
Well worth the cost if you like dual montiors or just a bit of a larger display to look at.
Are wireless Mini-Cards reliable?

My nephew has a Dell laptop that he connects wirelessly to the internet with. The host CP has a Verizon modem connected to it. The laptop has a 1390 802.11g Mini Card. Not all times but most times it takes approx 10-15 minutes to get connected to the internet. Is it because it is only a mini-card he has installed on the laptop. I’m not sure of the reliablity or functionality of the mini-cards.
I was think about buying one of those wireless adapters that he could plug into his USB port. Do you think he would get connected faster with this type?

Today I brought a mini laptop that came with WIFI, and in my home I have Verizon Wireless high speed internet connected to my desktop upstairs, and when I bring my laptop upstairs the wireless internet works, But when I go downstairs it looses its connection, how do I get it to work through out the whole house!! I want to purchase 3 mini laptops (preferably 12 inches or less) for my children. Since I want to buy 3 of them I’d like to find a decent price on them. Also, I don’t want a monthly contract w/ Verizon or AT&T for internet service. I just want the laptops themselves. Any ideas??
Guess I should’ve mentioned my kids are 14, 15, & 16 years old.

I bought a 1/8″ to 3/32″ adapter so I can plug in my normal jack headphones(the standard size for everything). It works, but only sound comes to one ear, and the same happens when I plug it into a stereo set. When I use the mini jack headphones the stereo comes through but the sound isn’t as good. How can I make it work in stereo?

i would like a netbook that is cheap, but can have a fast internet connection with my home connection. i not interested in using the internet in asia and that stuff. i have look at reviews on the verizon hp mini netbook thing, and most of the stuff i read, i really dont understand! kinda into using it as a home laptop, im so clueless!
